Greetings Daevas, If you’re anything like me, you probably love animals! Throughout my life I’ve found that being around the cuteness of cats and dogs help keep a smile on my face. In Assault on Balaurea, you’ll find yourself in the middle of an intense war, but you won’t have the face the challenges ahead alone. You’ll have the ability to collect dozens of pets to accompany you along the way. Yesterday we began discussing how these pets will be obtained, and our announcement was met with an overwhelming amount of buzz in the media. If you want to know more about pets, make sure to read our official announcement. Have questions? Let us know in the forums! Who knows, we might answer your question publically. Question of the Week Ouriel of Israphel asks: “I read that pets will help carry stuff. When my pet is not summoned will the items remain in his inventory or they will all pop out and flood my inventory?” Great question Ouriel! The Speckled Ailu highlighted in our Assault on Balaurea retail box announcement is one of the pets that have inventory space, we call these pack pets. There are other pack pets that will be available in Assault on Balaurea that you’ll be able to add to your pet collection. One thing to point out is that pets don’t take up room in your personal inventory; there is a separate pet UI that you can open and summon your pets as you need them. You can put items in the pet’s inventory and then place the pet back into storage. They’re like cute, furry, animated bags of holding, and the best part is that you don’t have to clean up after them! There will be different ways to get your hands on these pets, including buying them from in-game merchants or the NCsoft store. Additionally, there will be pets obtainable through quest rewards, item drops, and even special promotional events.
